1930's Stanley Argson Invalid Carriage 170cc
Priced at SOLD. This is believed to be a 1930's model & was made by Stanley Engineering in Egham who were the largest manufacturer of invalid carriages for a number of years. The last Cornwall owner found that it frightened him on the road, so he traded it in with us against a Raleigh flat tanker. In the meantime, to satisfy his desire for an invalid carriage, he now has an electric one which he finds much more tractable! The vehicle is powered by the ubiquitous Villiers engine & has a large number of controls, making life very interesting for the operator! A lot of time & money has been spent on this three wheeler, including a new fuel tank. This represents a unique opportunity as there are very few of the earlier models left. The second to last photograph show information supplied by the last owners, although we do believe the machine is later than 1931.
